Welcome to WALL HILL RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME.

At Wall Hill, we aim to to provide sympathetic and personal care to Residents according to their needs and especially those who require increased care and attention.

Our Aims and Objectives- A Mission Statement

We provide within personal care such help as the Resident finds necessary with washing, bathing, dressing, feeding and hygiene needs, whilst at all times maintaining the independence, integrity and dignity of the Resident to ensure care tailored to meet individual needs. We also provide counselling, occupational therapy and various needs of the Resident as far as possible. Secure, homely, caring and friendly Home in which the Residents can live as they wish. We strive to have visitors whenever they desire even at meal times when by prior arrangements visitors may also dine with us. We encourage to have support from their own doctors and their practice services. We allow the highest level of privacy as they desire. Residents may pursue their religious beliefs by church attendance or visits from the clergy. Residents can pursue leisurely activities as they wishe. Staff will assist Residents where necessary, but to act primarily to help each Resident maintain as active and independent life as possible.

OUR PHILOSOPHY OF CARE AT WALL HILL

We will strive to produce a caring environment for residents, carers and staff. This will be based on providing flexible personal care and support which is appropriate to the individual’s assessed needs. We aim to:- Maintain the resident’s independence for as long as practicably possible. Promote respect and meet the rights of the individual without discrimination, with regard to choice, independence, dignity respect and privacy. Form integral partnerships with other services to deliver a whole care package. Minimise stress within the home situation by being carers to one another thereby producing greater job satisfaction, boosting morale and maintaining exceedingly high standards of care.

Deciding on Your Residential Care

Your bedroom will be fully furnished to a high standard and all bed linen, towels, pillows, face cloths, etc. will be provided. Room sizes vary from 10.5m2 to 16.5m2. There are a total of 34 bedrooms at Wall Hill which consist of 9 ground floor Single room’s en-suite. 24 first floor single room’s en-suite. 1 first floor double room with en-suite. Each bedroom has a television point and access to a telephone line. All first floor rooms can be accessed from the lift or by the stairs. There are three main lounge areas and a large dining room that may also be used for other activities. There are adapted toilet facilities in all en-suites and throughout the home. There is full wheelchair access and handrails both in and around Wall Hill.

Wallhill is a family concern which is owned and operated by Dr. & Mrs. Garala and is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for 35 Residents both male and female of the following categories (OP) Old Age (PD) Physical Disability (MD) Mental disorder (DE) dementia and who are from the age of 50 years. The owners at Wall hill have over 25 year’s experience in the caring industry. All staff are fully trained in all areas of care delivery and have annual updates to ensure we are up to date with all current and new legislation.

The staff has in-house training, plus external training on Moving & Handling, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, First aid, Handling and Administration of Medication, Dementia Awareness, Safeguarding vulnerable adults, Fire safety, Palliative care, Care practices, and NVQ level 2 and level 3. The Care Manager Rupal Patel has QCF level 5 & Care Managers Award. Care Manager Sharon Jones QCF LEVEL 4, Senior staff have NVQ Level 3 and all care staff have NVQ Level 2 or are working towards Level 2. Staff is available 24 Hours a day. In an emergency, additional staff is also available on call. All staff has an enhanced DBS check.

This supplementary support is designed to complement the ‘caring for people’ value we at Wall Hill place on ourselves.

Day Care
We provide a daycare service at Wall Hill seven days a week. We can collect you from your home at a convenient time and provide you with meals and activities throughout the day. We can also provide a bathing service if requested.

Respite Care
Everyone needs a rest, a holiday or just a break from routine. This can sometimes be difficult to achieve if you are a full-time carer. Wall Hill offers, subject to availability, Respite Care, for a weekend or a midweek break.
