Residential Care
Settling into a care home may not be easy for an individual hence we take utmost care in making the new resident comfortable and helping them feel at home. Acorn care homes provide a safe, warm, cozy and fully equipped home with all the necessary support an individual needs. Our aim is to provide a friendly atmosphere where the residents can interact, mingle and become like family during their stay here. As we also recognise that our residents would have individual and various requirements we strive to provide maximum support and services like personal care, eye and denture care, shopping, nurse call, library, entertainment zones, laundry, telephone connection and many more services.
Respite Care
Understanding the difficulties faced by family members in providing continuous care to the loved ones we found it necessary to provide a break for the carers. We find it important to provide the loved ones with a homely experience subject to availability during which time the carers can complete their chores, go on a holiday or just take a well-deserved break. As we want to provide the right care to the residents, our team works closely with them to understand their needs.
Day Care
We provide a day care service at Elizabeth House seven days a week. We can collect
you from your home at a convenient time and provide you with meals and activities throughout the day. We can also provide personal needs services like bathing, hair dressing etc upon request. We work together as a team to provide the best care and make it an enjoyable and feel at home experience with added luxuries and facilities making your day memorable.
Nursing Care
In addition to all our other services we provide nursing care facilities as well. There is a call button in every room which is linked to several stations throughout the building. Assistance is available 24 hours a day. Care is provided for the people above the age of 50 – the old, physically disabled, those having medical conditions like Mental health disorders, Dementia and Learning disabilities.
SERVICES PROVIDED
To provide sympathetic and personal care to Residents according to their needs and especially those who require increased care and attention.
To provide within personal care such help as the Resident finds necessary with washing, bathing, dressing, feeding and hygiene needs, whilst at all times maintaining the independence, integrity and dignity of the Resident to ensure care tailored to meet individual needs.
To meet counselling, occupational therapy and various needs of the Resident as far as possible.
To provide a secure, homely, caring and friendly Home in which the Residents can live as they wish.
To have visitors whenever they desire even at meal times when by prior arrangements visitors may also dine with us.
To have support from their own doctors and their practice services
To have such privacy as they desire.
Residents may pursue their religious beliefs by church attendance or visits from the clergy.
To pursue leisurely activities as the Resident so wishes.
Staff will assist Residents where necessary, but to act primarily to help each Resident maintain as active and independent life as possible
